I need advice on how to handle my skin. It's been in very bad shape, and I don't know what to do anymore!

39 F, combination skin that is super dry and flaky in the winter. I often get hormonal acne on my chin every month like clockwork, but for the longest time, that was pretty much it. (only left with bumps on the chin)

I started to add a bit of Korean skincare to my Cerave/ordinary products, then I went to see an aesthetician, who told me I should change my whole diet and skincare. I followed what she told me, but I found it too harsh on my skin in winter, so I skipped the morning washing.

I changed my diet to 0 sugar and almost no processed or fatty food. The only two things I added were iron and vitamin D because I'm deficient, and now I started getting acne everywhere (leaving ugly red acne scars) when I started the vitamin D and for 4 months now.

My skincare has been the following:

AM:

  • Splash with water
  • Glymed+ comfort cream
  • Tizo ultra zinc Sunscreen

PM:

  • Manyo Oil cleaner
  • Gylmed+ idyllic cleanser
  • The Ordinary Glycolic acid 7% or Paula's choice BHA exfoliant 2x week
  • Glymed+ skin recovery Mist
  • The ordinary Hyaluronic acid
  • The ordinary niacinamide (not every day)
  • Glymed+ comfort cream

Main issues:

  • Hormonal acne and bumps that they leave
  • Painful red zits everywhere on my face, especially the cheeks
  • Acne scars and bumps on the chin
  • Flaky skin esp around the lips
  • Hyperpigmentation

Now, I'm starting a reset and will only wash my face in the PM with a mild washer and SPF. That's my plan for the next couple of weeks. What do you think I should do after to fix this mess?
